About Family Council
Family Council is a conservative education and research organization based in Little Rock, Arkansas. Founded in 1989, it works to promote, protect, and strengthen traditional family values rooted in the Bible by influencing public opinion and public policy across the state. Associated with a nationwide network of family policy councils connected to Focus on the Family, the organization engages with lawmakers and the public on social and moral issues.
Its activities include media interviews, legislative advocacy, and voter education. Family Council produces election voter’s guides and publishes articles, videos, opinion editorials, policy briefs, reports, and regular updates on topics such as abortion, religious freedom, gambling, marijuana, and Arkansas legislation. It also offers free toolkits and resources for churches and families, information on pro-life work, voter registration materials, and resources related to the No Patient Left Alone Act.
The organization’s work includes the Education Alliance, which promotes homeschooling, and the Arkansas Physicians Resource Council, which helps physicians address social and moral questions affecting medical ethics.
