Family Harmonies Familiales

Family Harmonies Familiales (FHF), established in 2006, builds a welcoming community of support for people from diverse backgrounds, including individuals living with disabilities and mental health challenges. Its programs combine enjoyable activities with opportunities to develop practical skills in a comfortable, positive group environment. Through natural-environment learning, participants practise communication, social interaction, transit use and everyday life skills while forming supportive relationships.

FHF offers daytime programming, currently scheduled part-time on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, as well as activities for children and teens on professional development days. Participants are expected to take part independently in a group, with options to bring a support person or arrange additional assistance for an added fee. An employability program lets some participants take on responsibilities and practise pre-job skills in exchange for a lower registration fee.

The organization also runs summer camps for ages six and up, with planned themes including music, arts and crafts, life skills, puzzles and escape rooms. Its weekly Musicability sessions invite participants to sing and make music together.
