About National FRC Mental Health Promotion Project
The National Family Resource Centre Mental Health Promotion Project is dedicated to promoting mental health and well-being across Ireland. As part of the National Forum of Family Resource Centres, we offer education, training, and best practice guidance on suicide prevention, wellness recovery action planning, and positive mental health promotion to 121 Family Resource Centres. Our mission is to empower communities and individuals to improve their mental health and well-being, ultimately reducing the impact of mental health issues in society.
Supported by various organizations, including the National Office for Suicide Prevention and the HSE, we work to combat stigma, raise awareness, and reduce the number of suicides in Ireland. Through initiatives like Social Prescribing, WRAP training, and Problem Gambling support, we provide pathways to care and promote community resilience. Join us in creating a cohesive response to mental health challenges and fostering social connectedness for a healthier Ireland.
