Family Unit Trust is an award-winning community charity founded in Manchester in 2020. Working across Greater Manchester and beyond, it supports families affected by cancer, hardship and other challenging circumstances, with a particular focus on improving access and tackling health inequalities in BME communities. Its work is rooted in lived experience and guided by compassion, inclusion, empowerment, collaboration and integrity.

The charity raises cancer awareness through community workshops, campaigns and outreach, helping people understand risk factors, recognise signs, seek screening and find support. It also offers practical and emotional support through a food bank serving families affected by cancer and people undergoing treatment, and a weekly coffee morning that helps reduce isolation. Taste Of Home brings people together through food and cultural exchange, while the Holiday Playscheme provides activities for children during school breaks. Brave Spaces, its youth wellbeing programme for ages 11–18, supports confidence, resilience and participation. Family Unit Trust also runs gambling awareness activities and invites people to contribute through volunteering, campaigning and fundraising.
