About Fare
Fare is an umbrella organization that unites individuals, informal groups, and organizations in their fight against inequality in football and their use of the sport as a catalyst for social change. Their commitment to eradicating discrimination is rooted in the belief that football, as the world's most popular sport, belongs to everyone and has the power to foster social cohesion. Fare tackles all forms of discrimination, including racism, far-right nationalism, sexism, trans- and homophobia, and discrimination against disabled people.
What sets Fare apart is the diversity of its members, which include fan groups, NGOs, amateur clubs, grassroots organizations, and more. With over 150 members in nearly 40 European countries, Fare has evolved into an international organization. They engage policy makers, governing bodies, and key players to advance social inclusion and raise awareness about football's potential as a tool for equality.
Through various initiatives, campaigns, and events, Fare empowers marginalized and discriminated groups, advocates for change, and serves as a resource in combating discrimination and promoting social inclusion. Whether through hosting conferences, producing educational materials, or organizing the Football People action weeks, Fare continues to make a significant impact in the fight against discrimination in football, both in Europe and beyond
