Fareretetnea Cooperativa Sociale is a Catania-based social cooperative dedicated to supporting people with autism and promoting inclusion, autonomy, and well-being. Guided by values of care and community participation, it provides individualized therapeutic and educational services developed around each person’s needs. Its approach draws on cognitive and behavioral sciences, with particular emphasis on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), a method used to support the development of specific behaviors through learning and reinforcement.

The cooperative’s services include ABA-based support, speech and language therapy, psychomotricity, and broader psychopedagogical services. Speech therapy addresses communication, language, voice, swallowing, and oral functions, while psychomotricity integrates movement, emotions, and cognitive development, especially in work with children. Fareretetnea also describes projects involving the Budget of Health, an individualized, community-based plan that coordinates economic, professional, and human resources to support social functioning and mental health, and help prevent institutionalization.
