About FARES asbl
FARES asbl, the Fonds des Affections Respiratoires, is a non-profit association dedicated to the prevention and management of smoking, the fight against tuberculosis, and providing information on other chronic respiratory conditions. With its headquarters located in Rue Haute, Brussels, Belgium, FARES collaborates with various social and healthcare actors to improve the care and monitoring of tuberculosis patients, as well as organize screening among high-risk individuals. Established in 1986, the Tobacco Prevention Service team has been utilizing its expertise for over 30 years to support professionals in the education, health, and social sectors.
Their activities include coordination, awareness campaigns, dissemination of information, training, and counseling, all aimed at promoting health and aiding in smoking cessation. Additionally, FARES engages in activities related to other respiratory conditions such as asthma, COPD, and allergies, primarily focused on public and stakeholder information and participation in partnership projects.
