The EIP (European Innovation Partnership) project, co-funded by the European Commission and the Irish Government as part of Ireland's Rural Development Programme (RDP), is dedicated to addressing the challenges associated with farm succession. This initiative aims to identify these challenges, determine the necessary support and expertise required, and formulate a comprehensive Successor Development Plan. At the heart of the project is the well-being of farmers and their families, focusing on their mental and emotional state throughout the succession process.

By bringing together farmers, advisors, researchers, and NGOs in "Operational Groups," the project fosters collaboration and encourages the trial of innovative solutions. With a particular emphasis on farm health, safety, and well-being, the project aims to evaluate and support farmers through the decision-making process, ultimately ensuring the smooth transition of farm assets across generations.
