The FTCLDF protects the rights of the nation's family farms, artisan food producers, homesteaders, consumers and affiliate communities to engage in direct commerce free of harassment by federal, state and local government interference; it protects the rights of farmers and artisanal producers to make their products available and the rights of consumers to access the foods of their choice from the source of their choice. FTCLDF is a true grassroots organization and receives no government funding and little or no corporate funding. About Farm-To-Consumer Legal Defense Fund
FTCLDF, also known as the Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund, is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to protecting, defending, and broadening the rights and viability of independent farmers, artisanal food producers, and their consumers. Launched on Independence Day in 2007, FTCLDF works tirelessly to ensure that farmers and consumers have the freedom to engage in direct commerce and have access to the foods of their choice. This grassroots organization operates without any government funding or significant corporate support and relies on membership fees, individual donations, and grants for public interest litigation.
With various membership categories and reasonable fees, FTCLDF offers unlimited consultation with attorneys, access to valuable resources and information, and the possibility of legal representation, all while leveling the playing field between farmers and the government.
