Farmwel is an organisation focused on regenerative agriculture and the role of farming in addressing climate and food security challenges. Its work highlights how well-managed livestock, including cows in regenerative systems, can contribute to soil carbon storage, ecological connectivity, rural livelihoods and the production of nutrient-dense food. Farmwel also examines the effects of agricultural greenhouse gases, including ruminant methane, and promotes a nuanced understanding of their contribution to climate change.

From 2016 to 2022, Ffinlo Costain served as Farmwel’s Chief Executive, giving evidence to UK parliamentary committees and advising ministers and the Committee on Climate Change about agricultural climate gases. The site presents Farmwel’s work through resources and communications including a soil health report, the Farm Gate podcast, and material on water systems, soil health and food security.
