About Hardanger fartøyvernsenter | Norheimsund
Hardanger fartøyvernsenter is the largest expertise center in the Nordic region for the restoration of historical vessels. We offer a wide range of products and services for maritime enthusiasts and families. Our center features a rope workshop, blacksmith forge, slipway, and a small boat workshop.
In addition, we have a family-friendly maritime museum where visitors can learn about the rich maritime history of the region. We are a part of the Hardanger and Voss museum, which includes other museums such as Hardingfela. no, Storeteigen Folk museum, Kabuso Art Centre, and more.
At Hardanger fartøyvernsenter, you can experience the sounds and smells of craftsmen at work, using fresh materials, tar, rope, and glowing iron.
