Faruk Investment Group

Faruk Investment Group (FIG) is a diversified investment group founded in 2008 by entrepreneur Faruk Mustafa Rasool, whose business experience dates back to the 1970s. Based in Sulaimani, Kurdistan, Iraq, the group operates across 13 sectors through 24 companies and employs more than 7,000 people. Its stated mission is to support economic development and a more prosperous, self-sufficient nation through investment, industrial development, and sustainable projects.

FIG’s businesses span cement production, telecommunications and IT, medical services, hospitality, environmental services, renewable energy, financial services, insurance, travel, real estate, construction, and manufacturing. Its portfolio includes Tasluja, Gasin, and Bazian cement companies; Asiacell and other telecommunications ventures; Faruk Medical City and Rasan Pharmaceutical; and hotels and resorts. The group also provides payment, insurance, and travel services, and develops real estate and construction projects. Its environmental and energy activities include waste-treatment solutions and a solar plant project. Future plans include Dukan Lake City, a proposed leisure and mixed-use development intended to support tourism and infrastructure in the region.
