Faschingsverein Engetried

Faschingsverein Engetried e.V. is a carnival association based in Engetried, a small community in the Günztal region of the Allgäu and part of Markt Rettenbach, Bavaria. With around 500 members, the association brings local carnival traditions to life through performances, events and community participation. Its best-known event is a large carnival parade held every two years in even-numbered years. The parade has attracted more than 30,000 spectators and is known for its elaborate themed floats and imaginative groups; it has also been featured on Bavarian television.

Throughout the carnival season, the association’s dance groups perform at carnival balls nearby and farther afield, including events in Switzerland. The masked group also appears in parades across the Unterallgäu, wearing handmade costumes and carved masks. The association includes a guard, a mini guard, a council, a committee and a carnival prince and princess. Its website shares event dates, parade information, photographs, club history and membership details, and invites people to learn about joining.
