FASCHOLARS

Faridah Awang Scholars Program, Inc. (FAScholars) is an organization focused on helping people pursue their educational ambitions and make a positive impact in their communities and countries. Its work is inspired by the story of founder Dr. Faridah Awang, who grew up in a rural community in Malaysia and overcame significant financial hardship. The program reflects the belief that exceptional potential can flourish when students receive support and opportunity.

FAScholars offers merit- and need-based scholarships, recognizing students for their ability to excel, lead, and serve, alongside their commitment to creating meaningful change. The organization invites prospective scholars to apply and encourages individuals to get involved in its cause. Its website also shares information about scholarship programs, application opportunities, organizational history, and the experiences of its scholars and leadership team. Through these efforts, FAScholars aims to help recipients unlock their potential while supporting the next generation of community-minded leaders. The organization is led by Dr. Awang, with board members Dr. Marcia A. Anderson and Hafiz Razak.
