The Emergency Life-Saving Promotion Foundation is a Japanese public interest organization dedicated to developing skilled emergency medical personnel and helping save lives. Guided by the aim of “saving lives and nurturing emergency life-saving technicians,” it provides advanced education and training for emergency responders across Japan, including courses that prepare participants to acquire the knowledge and practical skills required to become nationally certified emergency life-saving technicians. Its training programs also include courses for instructor-level personnel and infection-prevention practices.

The Foundation supports research into emergency care and the advancement of emergency life-saving services. It organizes the National Symposium for Emergency Responders and offers commissioned research and grant programs. To promote public understanding and practical first aid, it publishes the “Emergency Life-Saving” journal, produces and donates first-aid training texts and DVDs, and provides related awareness resources. Through its Emergency Fund, the Foundation also supports initiatives that strengthen emergency response. Its work is delivered through its offices and training centers in Tokyo and Kyushu, serving both emergency professionals and the wider community.
