Friesenheimer Fasent-Zunft e.V. is a community carnival association based in Friesenheim, Germany, dedicated to preserving and sharing the local Fasent tradition. Its customs, including parades, masks, celebrations and community gatherings, have been officially recognised as part of Germany’s Intangible Cultural Heritage. The association brings residents and visitors together throughout the carnival season and welcomes people interested in joining.

Its programme includes traditional events such as the Hemdklungerumzug, the welcoming of new members, the storming of the town hall, a children’s and youth carnival, a village rally and the ceremonial burning of Fasent. Members and guests can also take part in social gatherings, including a Speckeier meal and a herring supper at the guild room. For families, the association offers activities designed to introduce children to local festivities through games and a village-wide rally. Beyond the carnival season, it participates in local events, including Frie-Night, where it serves its well-known mushrooms in beer batter, and contributes a children’s activity to the municipality’s holiday programme.
