Fasercafé

Fasercafé is a welcoming, open handcraft community offering people in Munich and beyond a place to create, connect, and share ideas. Its gatherings are free to attend, require no registration, and welcome everyone. Participants can bring projects involving fiber-based crafts that do not require electricity, including knitting, crochet, embroidery, spinning, needle felting, tablet weaving, and tatting. Over coffee or tea, attendees can show their work, exchange advice, and learn techniques from one another. Donations, either financial or in the form of homemade treats, are appreciated but not required.

The community hosts regular in-person meetups in Munich’s Petuelpark and at the WIE meeting and education center in Filderstadt-Sielmingen. It also offers a monthly sewing café in Filderstadt and a digital creative café open to people working with a wider range of materials and crafts. The website shares event dates, courses, craft resources, instructions, and information about other handcraft meetups and yarn and haberdashery shops. Fasercafé is run by a small team dedicated to making creative craft gatherings accessible and sociable.
