Fashion Forum Africa is a non-profit platform dedicated to the preservation, research, and promotion of Africa’s fashion and textile heritage. We work at the intersection of culture, education, and sustainability, offering a unique ecosystem where traditional craft, contemporary design, and indigenous knowledge converge. Founded by heritage specialist and accredited appraiser Makeba Boateng, the platform curates exhibitions, develops educational resources, and facilitates access to cultural valuation services for African fashion professionals, institutions, and collectors. Our work advocates for: Equitable trade and cultural ownership Documentation and digital archiving of African fashion histories Fair valuation and appraisal of cultural assets Education and capacity-building for future generations Based in Ghana. Engaged across Africa and the Diaspora. Open to global partnerships.

About Fashion Forum Africa
Fashion Forum Africa (FFA) is a licensed charity and non-governmental organization dedicated to researching, cataloging, and documenting iconic African designers, fashion, and textiles. Our mission is to preserve, conserve, and promote African fashion heritage and culture globally by collaborating with businesses, educational and cultural institutions, governmental organizations, and international agencies.
We also aim to connect individuals with resources, education, and opportunities within the fashion business community in Africa and the diaspora. FFA is affiliated with NGOs Fashion Forum Ghana and African Fashion Forum, both registered in Ghana. Our recent contributions to the Victoria and Albert (V&A) Museum in London showcase our commitment to showcasing African fashion.
