About Fat Beats
Fat Beats, founded by Joseph Abajian (DJ Jab) in 1994, started as a vinyl shop in Manhattan's Lower East Side. With a love for music, culture, and the brotherhood of rap, Fat Beats quickly became an essential hub for both aspiring and established artists to connect and collaborate. The shop attracted international tourists and renowned artists, including Jay Z, Eminem, and Outkast, offering rare vinyl, kindred spirits, and exclusive in-store performances.
