Fatto ad Arte is a Milan-based gallery dedicated to contemporary arts and crafts, bringing together design and Italian artisan skill. Founded in 1997 by architect Raffaella Fossati, the gallery selects works conceived by designers and made by skilled workshops across Italy. Its program promotes artistic craftsmanship through exhibitions, events, meetings, and publications, presenting objects that sit between art and design.
The gallery’s collections span materials including alabaster, ceramic, crystal, marble, and glass, alongside jewelry and handcrafted works. Its designer roster includes Paolo Coretti, Elisabetta Gonzo, Andrea Pellicani, Alessandro Vicari, and Marta Comini with Raffaella Fossati. Fatto ad Arte Editions extends the gallery’s work through original collections produced in limited editions. The site also highlights projects such as Sheer Nature and Crystal, and a collection associated with Angelo Mangiarotti.
Fossati has also curated collections, exhibitions, and writing on arts and crafts. In 2000, she and Ugo La Pietra established Ad Arte, an organization dedicated to researching and promoting Italian artistic craftsmanship through events.
