Faville-project

FAVILLE (Facilitators of Virtual Learning) is a collaborative project focused on improving the quality of facilitation in online learning environments. It addresses the skills and competences needed by virtual learning facilitators, also known as e-tutors or online tutors. These facilitators support learners by encouraging participation, communication and collaboration, and by helping ensure that everyone remains engaged. The project responds to the need for stronger preparation and recognition of this often-overlooked role.

FAVILLE’s main resources include a modular e-learning course for virtual learning facilitators, a digital application presenting facilitation methods and examples, and a framework for validating skills and competences gained through non-formal and informal learning. The app is designed to help users select suitable methods based on factors such as learner profiles, course subjects, group size and learning challenges. The outputs were developed for pilot testing and are intended to support facilitators in developing their practice and pursuing professional qualifications.
