About FDUV
FDUV is the interest organization for Swedish-speaking individuals with intellectual disabilities in Finland. Their mission is to promote freedom, participation, development, and choice for everyone, including those who require support in their daily lives. FDUV offers a wide range of products and services to support individuals and their families.
They provide family support, guidance, and counseling, as well as courses and events to assist individuals on their path to adulthood. FDUV also offers summer camps and a wealth of educational resources, including easy-to-read materials and a special library. They actively work to influence policies and legislation related to intellectual disabilities and offer advocacy and support in areas such as education, housing, work, and personal assistance.
