Feathered Angels

Feathered Angels Waterfowl Sanctuary is a volunteer-supported sanctuary dedicated to helping abandoned domestic ducks and geese. Its mission is to provide rescued waterfowl with food, shelter and veterinary care, then facilitate adoption into safe, loving homes. The organization also educates the public about domestic waterfowl and responsible care, aiming to prevent birds from being abandoned when they grow up.

Rescued birds receive veterinary examinations and treatment for issues such as injuries, metal poisoning and bumblefoot. After rehabilitation, they can live in a protected sanctuary with a fenced pond, fresh water, appropriate food and secure overnight shelter. The flock includes birds with special needs, including partial blindness and leg injuries. Feathered Angels shares their stories, including Buttercup’s journey with a custom 3D-printed foot, to help people understand the challenges these animals can face.

Through rescue, rehabilitation, adoption support and education, Feathered Angels works to improve the welfare of domestic waterfowl and give each bird the opportunity to live in a safe, cared-for environment.
