About Fechten
The Deutscher Fechter-Bund e. V. (German Fencing Federation, DFB) is the national association for fencing in Germany.
Based in Bonn, it supports the sport across competitive, youth and veteran settings, connecting national teams, regional associations, clubs, athletes and officials. Its work includes coordinating the national squad and performance sport, competitions and championships, rankings, results, referee activities and information on international licences. The federation also serves the fencing community through coach and referee education, tournament qualification, digital services, downloads, literature resources and career guidance for athletes.
Youth development is a key part of its activity, with projects, teams, ambassador initiatives and events such as the dfj allstar summer tour. The DFB promotes safe and inclusive participation through resources on anti-doping, prevention of sexualized violence, anti-discrimination, anti-racism and good governance. Its website provides federation news, competition information, live results, videos, job opportunities and practical guidance for members and the public, helping support and organize fencing throughout Germany
