The Fondo Estatal de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación (FECTI) is a Chihuahua state initiative that supports science, technology and innovation through public funding calls. Its official digital platform is operated by the Instituto de Innovación y Competitividad (IIC), under the state’s Secretaría de Innovación y Desarrollo Económico. FECTI provides a central place for applicants to review current calls, register, submit proposals and track their applications.

The platform guides individuals and institutions through account creation, protocol preparation, submission of supporting documents and the application process. Proposals undergo technical and scientific review by independent experts, followed by public decisions and, for selected projects, agreements and funding according to the applicable schedule. Users can also consult operating rules, eligibility criteria, applicant guidance, video tutorials and results from the 2025 funding round, or use a virtual assistant for questions about requirements and deadlines.

FECTI prioritizes projects in areas including health and biotechnology, digital technologies, renewable energy, agriculture and food, advanced manufacturing, the environment, social sciences, and education and inclusion.
