The Association de Cardiologie Languedoc-Roussillon is a regional member of the Fédération Française de Cardiologie, France’s public-interest federation dedicated to combating cardiovascular disease. The association works to prevent heart disease and raise public awareness through events and initiatives organised with local communities and prevention organisations. It also supports and coordinates the region’s volunteer-led Clubs Cœur et Santé.

These clubs help people continue their cardiac rehabilitation after hospital care and centre-based rehabilitation, supporting the return to physical activity. Under cardiologist sponsorship, qualified staff guide members through activities adapted to individual abilities and pace. Offerings include rehabilitation exercise, walking days and other opportunities that encourage heart health, confidence and mutual support. The association also helps prospective volunteers learn how to establish a new club and connects people with a club near them.

Public events such as La Nage du Cœur combine sport, cardiovascular prevention and community awareness. Through its regional network, the association brings together members, volunteers and partners to promote prevention and support people living with heart conditions across Languedoc-Roussillon.
