Federherz eV

Federherz e. V. is an animal protection association and sanctuary based in Bergheim, Germany.

Its mission is to promote a compassionate relationship between people, animals, nature, and food, and to show that animals deserve to live with freedom, dignity, and security rather than being treated as resources. At its farm, Federherz cares for turkeys, pigs, chickens, cattle, and other animals, offering them a safe home free from fear, violence, and commercial use. Many residents were rescued from unsuitable living conditions or narrowly escaped slaughter; the sanctuary gives each the chance to live as an individual with their own personality and needs.

Beyond caring for animals on the farm, the organisation shares a broader vision of agriculture that protects life and food choices grounded in responsibility toward animals. Through its Zukunftshöfe initiative, Federherz also seeks to support farmers who want to create change. The association invites people to follow its work, learn about the animals and its vision, and contribute to its efforts through support and donations
