FediList is a directory and discovery resource for the federated social web, helping visitors explore platforms and services that use ActivityPub and related technologies. Its listings span a broad range of software, including social networks, microblogs, blogs, video and music platforms, forums, community tools, relays, and publishing systems. Visitors can browse software by name and compare options across a diverse ecosystem, from widely used projects such as Mastodon, WordPress, PeerTube, and Lemmy to smaller and specialized applications.

The directory also provides filtering options, including software type, registration availability, and whether an instance is accessible through TOR, making it easier to find relevant communities and services. FediList includes instance-oriented information and highlights live instances, alongside a view of recent changes and activity across the federated network. By bringing many independent projects and servers into one searchable listing, FediList serves users seeking a platform, administrators evaluating software, and anyone interested in the range and growth of decentralized social services
