Feed Solutions

Feed Solutions, LLC provides farming solutions centered on HydroGreen automated vertical pasture systems, which produce live green feed for livestock. Based in Monroe, North Carolina, the company offers information and support for farmers exploring ways to manage feed costs amid land constraints and unpredictable weather. HydroGreen uses hydroponic growing methods to raise plants without soil, turning seed into feed in six days. Its automated system handles seeding, watering, lighting, monitoring, harvesting, and post-harvest cleanup, and is designed to operate year-round.

Feed Solutions explains the feed’s composition and how it may be used in livestock rations. Live green feed can replace forage, grain, or a combination of both, with ration adjustments depending on the intended use. For forage replacement, the site recommends adding fiber, typically chopped straw; grain replacement is considered on an equivalent dry-matter basis. The company advises consulting a nutritionist when making these changes. Its website also provides HydroGreen system information, frequently asked questions, a blog, and contact options for requesting information.
