Feemerj

FEEMERJ, the Federation of Mountain Sports of the State of Rio de Janeiro, is an organization supporting and coordinating organized mountaineering across the state. It connects affiliated clubs and associations with mountaineers, technical groups, and partner organizations, and provides information to people interested in taking up the sport. Its work spans climbing, hiking, mountain access, safety, and responsible care of trails and climbing routes.

Through its website, FEEMERJ shares practical guidance on how to get started, approved courses, climbing walls, access rules, mountain huts, and trail and climbing-route conditions. It also publishes alerts, accident-reporting information, technical resources, regulations, trail and climbing guides, and institutional documents. The federation organizes or promotes events, meetings, publications, and competitions at state and national levels, and supports initiatives such as the Trail and Climbing Route Management Incentive Fund. Visitors can find information about membership, renewals, partner organizations, conservation areas, and mountain programs, as well as updates on maintenance, hazards, and responsible access.
