The Latin American Federation of Cosmetic Sciences Societies (FELASCC) is a nonprofit organization that brings together scientific associations working in cosmetic science across Latin America. Its purpose is to support the development of the region’s cosmetic industry and strengthen academic and industrial collaboration at an international level. FELASCC connects societies and professionals across Argentina, Brazil, Central America, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.
The federation’s main scientific event is COLAMIQC, which provides a forum for engagement across the cosmetic science community. Its website also shares information about other events, including the listed IFSCC 2021 event in Mexico, as well as industry news and articles. Topics highlighted include supplier events for the cosmetics and home-care industries and meetings of cosmetic chemists.
Visitors can learn about FELASCC’s history, statutes, and current and previous boards, find the society in their country, and explore ways to become a benefactor. The organization also offers a newsletter for updates on cosmetic science and related activities in Latin America.
