Felis Danica is Denmark’s national organisation for breed-cat clubs and a member of the Fédération Internationale Féline (FIFe), an international pedigree-cat organisation. Through its member clubs, it issues pedigrees for registered breed cats, documenting their ancestry. The organisation provides information and resources for breeders, cat owners and prospective buyers, including guidance on responsible cat ownership, breeding and choosing a cat.

Its services cover pedigree registration, cattery names, matings, DNA testing, imports and exports, and registration of titles. Felis Danica also supports cat shows, with information on show categories, rules, registrations and awards, and publishes results and rankings. For breeders and cat carers, it offers training programmes, including a Diplomopdrætter qualification and cat-carer education, delivered through structured modules and assessments.

Its FDkat online database helps members manage cat and litter listings, including advertisements on Købkat. dk, a platform for finding pedigree cats and kittens. Felis Danica also shares news, regulations, educational materials and articles through its website and KatteMagasinet, serving as a central resource for Denmark’s pedigree-cat community
