Ferkile's Taekwondo

Ferkile’s Taekwondo is a martial arts school established in 1985 in St. Petersburg, Florida, to teach traditional Taekwondo to students of different ages and skill levels. Led by Grand Master Bill Ferkile and a team of instructors, the school offers classes for children, teens, and adults at Shore Acres and Robert’s Recreation Centers. Training includes physical fitness, self-defense, sparring, Poomsae forms, kicking exercises, and other Taekwondo techniques. Classes vary in focus, helping students develop skills progressively through instruction and practice.

The school emphasizes character alongside martial arts, encouraging courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, confidence, and goal setting. Students can take part in promotion tests when their instructor considers them ready, as well as competitions and seasonal outdoor or beach classes. Ferkile’s also provides learning resources on student rules, Taekwondo history, forms, breaking techniques, belt colors, terminology, and the Taekwondo creed. Students can purchase training gear from Master Ferkile in class. Newcomers are invited to observe a class, and the first week of classes is offered free.
