Ferme du Haut-Village is a family-owned dairy farm located in the Alsace region, with a rich history that dates back to 1865. Our farm is dedicated to sustainable agriculture, focusing on soil conservation. The Christ family, now in its 5th generation with Florian, Gauthier, and their father Bruno, have managed the farm since 1865.

We have also welcomed Christian, an experienced farmer, and Emilie, Florian's partner, to our team. Situated in the picturesque hills of Kochersberg, we specialize in producing pasture-raised milk, grass-fed beef, and biomethane. At Ferme du Haut-Village, we prioritize animal welfare and the production of high-quality milk.

Our cows have the freedom to roam in lush pastures, ensuring their comfort and the production of exceptional milk. We currently sell our pasture-raised milk to the Alsace Lait cooperative and are working on an exciting cheese-making project. Additionally, we have a herd of Jersey cows dedicated to producing a variety of raw milk products, such as cheeses, cream, and butter.

Our commitment to quality extends to our grass-fed beef, which is carefully raised on our farm and available in various formats. In addition, we operate a methanation unit called Méthachrist, which produces biomethane from locally sourced agricultural waste. This renewable gas can be used for heating or as a fuel source, and the methanation process also generates a nutrient-rich organic fertilizer called digestate.
