Fern Kids

Fern Kids designs and makes commercial-grade furniture for childcare centres, daycares, preschools, classrooms, and other early learning spaces. Made at its Ontario workshop, the brand’s natural-wood pieces are built for everyday use and intended to support children as they learn, play, and grow. Its products feature child-friendly materials and low-VOC, non-harmful finishes, with designs influenced by Montessori and Reggio-inspired environments.

The range includes tables, chairs and seating, storage and shelving, cubbies, changing stations, infant lofts, mirrors, dramatic-play kitchens, arts-and-crafts furniture, play structures, and sand, water, and sensory tables. Products are organized by collection and by age or room, from infant and toddler spaces through grade school, as well as teacher and shared areas. Customers can explore product models in 3D, with augmented reality available on mobile for viewing items in a space.

Fern Kids also provides sample classroom layouts and a free custom room-layout service. For architects and designers, its Trade Portal offers product specifications and digital design files, while select furniture can be customized.
