About Ferry Conservation District
Ferry Conservation District is a local natural-resource organization serving Ferry County, Washington. Since 1947, it has worked with current and future landowners and residents to support conservation through technical and financial assistance, education, outreach, and partnerships. The district helps people address resource concerns and find grant or cost-share funding for conservation projects.
Its services and initiatives span agriculture, forests, waterways, wildlife, and community spaces. Programs include agricultural assistance, the Voluntary Stewardship Program, the Washington Soil Health Initiative, wildfire and forest management resources, and the Family Forest Fish Passage Program. The district also supports projects such as the Republic Community Garden, floating wetlands, and the Curlew Lake Project, and hosts an annual plant sale.
Education is another important part of its work, with outdoor learning, school field trips, a conservation fair, bee-related activities, videos, and other outreach resources. Ferry Conservation District shares local information, events, and guidance through its resource library and community programs.
