Federação de Surfe Feserj

FESERJ, the Surf Federation of the State of Rio de Janeiro, is a civil society organization founded on January 18, 1990, and based in the city of Rio de Janeiro. It works to develop, guide, and promote surfing across the state, while organizing, managing, and overseeing competitions in line with the rules of higher-level sporting bodies and the International Surfing Association. The federation also supports interstate events and helps ensure that applicable sporting regulations are followed.

FESERJ brings together local surf associations and clubs from communities across Rio de Janeiro, including Grumari, Prainha, Barra da Tijuca, Niterói, Saquarema, Búzios, and other coastal areas. Its activities include professional, junior, and masters competitions, as well as events such as the Rio Surf Pro and Quissamã Surf Festival. Through its website, the federation shares event news, results, rankings, photographs, videos, and an annual competition calendar. It also provides athletes with affiliation information and publishes rules, official notices, financial reports, and other institutional materials.
