Festes Baroques

Festes Baroques en Terre des Graves et du Sauternais is a music festival devoted to early and Baroque music, presented across Bordeaux and the Communautés de Communes of Convergence Garonne and Montesquieu. Its programme brings together historical repertoires and creative interpretations, performed by professional musicians, including emerging artists. Concerts take place in distinctive local venues such as churches, chapels and wine-producing châteaux, connecting live performance with the region’s cultural and architectural heritage.

Alongside concerts, the festival offers free discussions and round tables, public rehearsals with commentary for school groups, masterclasses and listening guides. After each concert, audiences can enjoy presentations and tastings of wines from local properties in Graves, Pessac-Léognan, Barsac and Sauternes, including classified growths. The organisation also supports transmission and education, and encourages public access to live performance. Festes Baroques is run by an association that welcomes members and donations to support its work. With its combination of music, learning, regional heritage and convivial gatherings, the festival offers audiences an engaging way to discover early music and the Graves and Sauternais territory.
