Festival Carte Blanche

Carte Blanche en Haut-Vallespir is a community film festival serving four towns in the Haut-Vallespir area of France: Amélie-les-Bains, Arles-sur-Tech, Prats-de-Mollo and Saint-Laurent-de-Cerdans. Each month, the festival organizes free film screenings across these communities, introducing audiences to a filmmaker or producer through a feature film or a selection of short films. After each screening, attendees can share their opinions and help choose the festival’s three award-winning films.

In June, the season concludes with an awards ceremony, where the results are announced and audiences can meet and talk with the winning filmmakers. Screenings take place in local cinemas, a media library or municipal venues, with locations and details shared in monthly announcements. The festival also supports other film-related activities in Haut-Vallespir, including screenings for the Fête du Court and Festimaj, educational work in schools, and occasional special screenings.
