Festival Bande

The Valle d’Itria International Music Band Festival is an annual event celebrating concert and marching-band music in Cisternino, in Italy’s Apulia region. Organized by the Music Association “City of Cisternino” APS, the festival brings together Italian and international ensembles and has welcomed bands from across Europe and beyond. Its 29th edition is scheduled for 15–18 July 2027, with performances set in Cisternino’s historic centre and main square.

The festival programme includes an opening event, concerts featuring participating formations, street parades and a grand finale. Alongside its musical programme, the event encourages cultural exchange and introduces visitors to the artistic, culinary and landscape attractions of the Itria Valley and Apulia. Organised excursions are offered for Italian and international guest groups, and the region’s nearby destinations include Alberobello, Ostuni, Polignano a Mare, Lecce and Matera. The association also owns the “Vitino Zizzi” Wind Orchestra and works closely with Cisternino’s municipal council and the Apulia Region. Free entry is listed for the opening event, with food and drink stands available nearby.
