The Festival de la Licorne is a free annual music and arts festival held on the first weekend of August at Parc des Platanes in Lamanon, in southern France. Created to bring people together through culture, it offers concerts, activities for children and adults, and exhibitions in a welcoming community setting. Its programme features a varied mix of musical styles, including reggae, ska, rock, folk, dub, electronic pop, world music and acoustic performances.
Past performers include Marseille reggae group Raspigaous, Avignon electro-dub duo Ashkabad, folk-rock band The Yokel, and local acts such as Jacket and Le Triolet. The festival also welcomes theatrical performances and creative activities. Its association, Zick’Assault, promotes the discovery and sharing of art and culture, particularly in rural areas.
Alongside concerts, it organises percussion workshops, musical discovery sessions, dance, creative activities, carnivals and community celebrations. With an accessible programme for all ages, the Festival de la Licorne combines live entertainment, artistic exploration and local participation in an event designed to make noise “up to the stars. ”
