About Foxconn E BG Group
Hon Hai Technology Group, also known as Foxconn Technology Group, is the world's largest contract manufacturer, established in 1974. With a focus on forward-facing business initiatives, they have ventured into the electric vehicle (EV) industry through their subsidiary, Foxconn EV System LLC. In 2019, Foxconn's Chairman and CEO, Young Liu, announced the 3+3 model, which includes electric vehicles as one of the key industries.
To bring this vision to reality, Foxconn completed an asset purchase agreement with Lordstown Motors in May 2022, acquiring a massive 6. 2 million-square-foot facility in Warren, Ohio. This facility is equipped with essential features for EV production.
Additionally, over 400 highly trained employees from Lordstown Motors transitioned to work with Foxconn. As Foxconn continues its journey in Ohio, they aim to lead the future of electric vehicles and contribute to the growing EV market
