About FFD
Food and Forest Development Finland (FFD) is an experienced non-profit organization based in Helsinki, Finland. Established in 2012, FFD focuses on development cooperation, providing support to agricultural and forestry producers in developing countries. Our member organizations include the Central Union of Agricultural Producers and Forest Owners (MTK), the Central Union of Swedish-Speaking Farmers and Forest Owners in Finland (SLC), Pellervo Coop Center, and the Association of ProAgria Centres.
Our goal is to strengthen Farmers’ Organizations and provide them with the knowledge and capital they need to thrive. Through collaboration between Farmers’ Organizations, Finnish experts, and FFD, we empower smallholder farmers and producers to use natural resources sustainably. Land management and related rights are also a key focus of our work.
