About FFO
FFO, the Norwegian Federation of Organisations of Disabled People, is an umbrella organization consisting of 87 member organizations representing individuals with disabilities and chronic illnesses. Their primary objective is to advocate for improved living conditions and the realization of human rights for these individuals. FFO engages in political work, holding regular meetings with the government, parliament, and directorates to address issues relevant to the disabled community throughout all stages of life.
This advocacy work encompasses areas such as adolescence, education, labor market, health, living conditions, human rights, accessibility, and organizational development. FFO also operates a Legal Advice Center specializing in welfare law. As an umbrella organization, FFO collaborates with similar organizations at the Nordic and European levels, as well as in Nepal and southern Africa, focusing on political issues and supporting organizational building, human rights, and good governance.
