About Forests and Forest Products Society
The Forests and Forest Products Society (FFPS) is dedicated to promoting research in sustainable forest management and the environmentally friendly processing and utilization of tropical forest products. Established in 2008 by academic staff at the Federal University of Technology in Nigeria, under the leadership of Professor Joseph Adeola Fuwape, FFPS serves as a professional society for individuals across the forestry and forest products industry.
The society operates through four Working Groups: Forest Measurements, Forest Policy, Economics, and Management, Forest Ecology, Agroforestry, and Silviculture, as well as Wood Science and Technology. FFPS hosts biennial conferences to facilitate the exchange of research findings and promote collaboration among scientists in the field.
With a focus on enhancing knowledge and networking opportunities, FFPS offers training workshops and publications to support the advancement of forestry practices. Join FFPS to contribute to sustainable forest management and innovation in tropical forest products.
