Federatie van Gehandicaptenorganisaties in Limburg

FGL Limburg, the Federation of Disability Organisations in Limburg, connects and supports associations, foundations and platforms representing people with visible or invisible disabilities and chronic conditions. Its work is guided by the principle “Together, for one another” and focuses on areas including accessible transport, policy, care and inclusion, governance, participation, positive health and accessibility. Eligible organisations in Limburg can join FGL’s member network free of charge, creating opportunities to collaborate, share support and strengthen their advocacy.

Through its accessibility initiative, Toegankelijk Limburg, FGL helps residents and visitors find information about the accessibility of public buildings and spaces, public toilets and accessible parking spaces. The searchable listings are based on assessments, and people can also use a form to assess an object’s accessibility. The website provides news, regional activity listings and information about member organisations, alongside volunteer opportunities and updates on local initiatives. FGL also promotes inclusive participation and works with partner organisations, including the Gehandicaptenraad Venlo, to advance accessibility across the province.
