FGU, som står for Forbedrende Grunduddannelse, er et nyetableret uddannelsestilbud for unge under 25 år. Hos FGU Himmerland arbejder vi for, at alle unge i Vesthimmerland, Mariagerfjord og Rebild Kommune skal have de rette forudsætninger for uddannelse, som understøtter netop deres faglige og personlige udvikling. Vi tror på, at dette opnås mest succesfuldt i samarbejde med lokalsamfund og erhvervsliv. FGU tilbyder en ny vej til erhvervsuddannelse, gymnasial uddannelse, beskæftigelse eller andet. Hos FGU formes uddannelsen efter elevernes forskellighed og behov. Her gives der plads til planlæggelse af individuelle uddannelsesforløb, som møder eleven i øjenhøjde.
