FGU Øresund is a preparatory education provider in Helsingør, Denmark, supporting young people aged 15 to 25 as they prepare for further education or employment. Its learning environment emphasises wellbeing, inclusion, engagement and practical development, with personal education plans, guidance and opportunities to explore individual interests.
Students can choose between three pathways. AGU focuses on general academic subjects, including Danish, mathematics and English, and helps prepare students for further education. PGU combines classroom learning with practical work across seven workshops, covering areas such as construction, beauty and business, graphic design, food and nutrition, automotive and metalwork, health and care, and music. EGU is designed for students who learn through workplace experience, combining company placements with basic-subject teaching and personal guidance.
Across its programmes, FGU Øresund aims to strengthen students’ academic and practical skills while helping them identify their next step. The school also offers additional initiatives, including AGU Online, FGU Klar, FGU Spirer and FGU Global.
