About Free Haven Community Initiative
Free Haven Community Initiative (FHCI) is a registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) located in Livingstone, Zambia. Our mission is to empower vulnerable families in Zambia and break the cycle of poverty by providing them with education, nutrition, health services, and empowerment programs. FHCI focuses on four main areas: Education, Nutrition, Health, and Empowerment.
In order to support our Zambian counterpart, we have formed a non-profit organization called Free Haven Community Initiative, Inc. This partnership allows us to organize fundraisers, process donations, and handle marketing strategies, enabling the Zambian-based NGO to focus on its primary goals. We are guided by our values of acceptance, accessibility, community, empowerment, equality, respect, and stewardship.
We believe in equal opportunities and treat every individual with respect, regardless of their identity. Our programs include comprehensive education initiatives, nutrition and health services, and impactful empowerment programs. We strive to make education accessible to all, as well as meet the basic health and nutritional needs of our students.
We also promote gender equality through our Impact Programs and community workshops. Founded in 2018, FHCI is a registered NGO in Zambia and a registered 501c3 Non Profit in the United States. Led by our CEO and Founder Samantha Knaub Huesman, we are dedicated to creating a sustainable impact in Zambia.
With your support, we can empower vulnerable families and work towards achieving gender equality by 2030. Join us in making a difference in Africa
