About Fiab Onlus
FIAB – Federazione Italiana Ambiente e Bicicletta is an Italian environmental organisation dedicated to making cycling a practical choice for everyday travel and leisure. It promotes bicycle use to help protect the environment, address climate change, reduce pollution and make urban spaces healthier and more welcoming. Its work spans urban cycling, cycle tourism, education, research, communication and advocacy with public authorities.
FIAB’s Study Centre brings together professionals who contribute technical expertise to projects, publications and policy documents. The organisation also runs mobility education for children and young people, including school activities, Bike to School and Bicibus initiatives. For travellers, FIAB supports cycling tourism as a more sustainable alternative and provides information about trips and routes through services such as Andiamoinbici.it and Biciviaggi.it. Its initiatives also include Bicitalia, Albergabici and ComuniCiclabili, as well as cycling-related programmes for municipalities and businesses.
People who join FIAB can access organised rides and cycling trips, third-party liability insurance for cycling in Europe, the BC magazine, and discounts with participating businesses, museums, hotels, tour operators and transport companies.
